Products:

Athos Workshop is a cottage industry in the village of Angeliana, Rethymnon, Crete, that produces handmade natural personal care products. Their range includes soaps, lotions, and other body care items, all made with organic Cretan extra virgin olive oil from their own olive trees. They also use locally sourced herbs, fruits, milk, honey, and natural beeswax in their products.

Goals:

The goal of Athos Workshop is to create high-quality, natural personal care products that are in harmony with nature. They are committed to using sustainable practices and supporting local producers.

Location:

The workshop is located in the village of Angeliana in the Rethymnon Prefecture of Crete.

Owners:

Athos Workshop is owned and operated by Manolis and Paraskevi, a couple who moved from Athens to Crete in 2007.

History:

Manolis and Paraskevi began experimenting with making soap using the natural resources available to them in their new home. Encouraged by their success and the positive feedback from friends and family, they decided to start a small business. They named their workshop “Athos,” which means “blossom” in the Cretan dialect, symbolizing creation, evolution, and completion.

Current Status:

Athos Workshop continues to produce handmade natural personal care products in small batches to ensure quality. They remain committed to their original vision of caring for people in harmony with nature.
