ECCE! is an independent, nonprofit cultural and civic platform based in Greece, with roots in both Crete and Athens. Functioning at the intersection of art, education, technology, and public life, the organization is dedicated to creating new, inclusive “dialects” for public engagement and collective action.
Driven by a multidisciplinary team of architects, cultural producers, educators, and communication specialists, ECCE! excels in designing and executing projects that are both culturally rich and socially impactful. Their approach is deeply participatory, aiming to blur the line between creator and audience and to foster genuine intercultural dialogue. The organization’s expertise spans a wide range, from developing large-scale cultural productions and festivals that explore intangible heritage to designing intimate, performative interventions in public spaces.
With a strong capacity for project design and stakeholder engagement, ECCE! has a proven track record of securing funding and collaborating with European institutions, local authorities, and civil society partners. This allows them to spearhead initiatives focused on social empowerment, working with marginalized or displaced communities through non-formal education and participatory arts. Furthermore, their work is informed by a commitment to ecological design and spatial justice, applying principles of sustainability and community-focused planning to their projects. Through this holistic approach, ECCE! seeks to reframe how we connect with each other and the spaces we inhabit, building dynamic and transformative public experiences.
