Loom & Weaving Festival in Ierapetra
A three-day festival in Ierapetra from August 7-9, organized by the ECCE! cultural organization, celebrates the art of Cretan weaving. Held at the 2nd Experimental Primary School, the event features free daily activities including exhibitions of traditional and contemporary textiles like xomblia, hands-on workshops for adults and children, and live loom demonstrations.
